Natural Hair Care

Homemade Natural Hare Care recipies.

It is important to treat your hair carefully and nourish it properly to maintain and enhance the beauty and shine. Many off the shelf products are available, going from traditional to Natural Hair Care, and organic hair care.  Lots of natural hair shampoos can easily be made at home and there are also loads of possibilities to make your own home made hair treatments. These blends offer a more natural approach to caring for your hair.

Before you start mixing your own, it is wise to realize that the current condition of your hair is a result of the care product you use now. Extremely dry hair tends to absorb more moisture, but individual results can vary. First time you use a specific hair mask, it is wise to test a little on a  not so obvious spot to see if the results are desirable and the product is not counterproductive.

Honey-based products

Honey is considered an excellent hair care product, and it has also a lot of other healing features. Dissolve a spoonful of honey in three to four cups of warm water or green tea. Once the honey is dissolved, spread the mixture on your wet hair just washed. Press excess moisture from the hair, do not rinse! Use a towel to her gently pat dry and model the hair as usual. The honey will soften your hair and add that lovely silky shine.

Warm oil treatments

Adding a heated oil mixture to the hair will nourish and moisturize the hair, and will assist in repairing damaged hair. You can bay olive oil haircare products, but most natural plant based oil products are suitable for this include soybean oil, olive oil and castor oil. Heat the oil slightly preferably in a spray bottle as that will facilitate an easier application. Make sure the oil is not hot as to much heat can damage the hair and burn your scalp. Spray and comb the mixture evenly through the hair and let it rest for a few minutes. Rinse the hair and wash with a mild shampoo. If your hair is particularly dry you can test to apply the mixture after washing and leave it on.

Other options

There are many different kinds of hair masks, original shampoos, natural hair care dandruff solutions that can be used to balance the moisture in the hair, recover from damaged hair or solve other hair care issues. One of these possibilities is to break an egg and mix with two tablespoons olive oil. Spread the substance evenly over the hair and then cover the hair with a shower cap or plastic wrap for about ten minutes. Wash and rinse the hair thoroughly.  The large amount of protein and amino acids from the egg will nourish the hair and give it a natural shine, while the olive oil will also nourish and soften it.

Fruit Mixtures can also be used as Natural Hair Care to get healthy (looking) hair. The citric acid and natural oils in many fruits produce shine, while the antioxidants present will help protect hair environmental damage. Be careful though not to use dark colored fruit on fair blond hair as the coloring agents of the fruit might leave traces.. You can mask  lighter hair with lemon and orange based mixtures, or by half a banana, half an avocado and a small amount of cantaloupe or other melon species. Blend the fruit and mix with a few tablespoons of yogurt (without additives) to obtain a smooth cream-like substance.  Rub carefully into the hair and let the substance soak in ten to fifteen minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
The yogurt and avocado will moisturize the hair, while the melon and the banana will add shine, nourishment and make the hair easier to handle.
